This bustling historic street scene looks down Silver Street toward the famous medieval Poultry Cross monument in Salisbury. The real photograph details a variety of traditional Edwardian storefronts lining the road, including shops for Lipton and H. Stevens & Co. with their large awnings extended over the pavements. Pedestrians stroll along the streets alongside handcarts, documenting a wonderful glimpse into the city's early twentieth-century commercial life.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by an unknown publisher. The postcard was made in Germany. This is a partially used postcard.
